What is RoHS Compliance?
RoHS or the directive 2011/65/EC restrict the use of hazardous substances in electrical & electronic products .As per the directive all the electrical & electronic products which are placed in EU market must be RoHS complaint i.e they either should not contain these restricted material or the quantity present must be under acceptable limits.
The substances banned under RoHS are lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (CrVI), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), and four different phthalates (DEHP, BBP, BBP, DIBP).
